'06 Mercury Monterey

The 2006 Mercury Monterey is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship, especially where the interior is concerned. The interior features wood grain and chrome trims and accents, perfectly complimenting the exterior.

There is room for up to seven passengers and the second row seats come as standard captain’s chairs, making for a comfortable ride no matter how long the trip lasts. As well, they have a fold and tumble feature, so they can be easily moved simply by pulling a lever, thus allowing an unrestricted path to the backseat.

Standard controls in the 2006 Mercury Monterey include dual climate control, a power driver’s seat, power adjustable pedals, and a steering wheel which can be adjusted in conjunction with the pedals. There is also front and rear parking assist. Optional features include leather seating and suede inserts, as well as seats which heat and cool. There is also an option for a backseat video entertainment system, with DVD capabilities.

'05 Mercury Monterey

The exterior of the 2005 Mercury Monterey features monochromatic cladding, which decorates the sides of the body and is complimented by satin aluminum trim and accents.

Mercury’s well known waterfall grille is present as well, and upscale models feature dual power operated sliding side doors. The wheels are machined and hold sixteen inch tires – there is also an option for self sealing tires.

The wheelbase is almost one hundred and twenty one inches; the 2005 Monterey is two hundred and one inches long and nearly seventy one inches tall. Inside, the 2005 Mercury Monterey can fit up to seven passengers.

The seats in the second row can be easily moved out of the way – the second row seats are captain’s chairs, and this comes standard; they also come with a fold and tumble feature. Also standard is dual climate control. In Premier models, it is possible to get front seats which both heat and cool. Other options include adjustable pedals and a video entertainment system with DVD capabilities.

2006 Mercury Monterey

The 2006 Mercury Monterey only comes in the Luxury edition. The company decided to drop the Premier and Convenience levels and go strictly with the Luxury. The vehicle includes the many features offered in the 2005 model.

The only things that have notably changed are the leather steering wheel and some new options on the wheels. These became available with nine-spoke, aluminum, seventeen-inch wheels.

This version of the 2006 Mercury Monterey drives nicely and offers seven passenger seating just like the previous version. It is a perfect family vehicle and will seat the entire family comfortably.

If you are looking for a vehicle that can give your family the space that they need, then this is a good choice. The '05 Monterey is scheduled be discontinued after this model year.

2005 Mercury Monterey

The 2005 Mercury Monterey is a minivan that is very similar in style and size to the Ford Freestar. There is only one body length available in this automobile. This stylish minivan can seat up to seven passengers comfortably, and the second and third rows of seats can flip forward.

The Monterey offers a power lift-gate as a standard feature on the Premier edition of this automobile, but it is an option on the Luxury version. The Monterey can be equipped with a power sliding side door.

The 2005 Mercury Monterey also has the option to have heated and cooled seats for the driver and passengers. This is a great option for those cold winter mornings when it is below zero outside, and particularly nice on hot summer days when you just can’t seem to cool off. These options are highly recommended. These minivans maintain their style and practicality for multiple model years.
